Course Description

IM: Photography Basics for Business

Price + HST: $55.00

Many entrepreneurs depend on social media to get the message out about their small businesses. In the fight for attention one of the best weapons is a good visual. Taking good photographs is about making the right choices when capturing an image rather than the equipment you use. David Rollins, professional photographer and 20 year veteran of the photographic industry with experience in photojournalism, portraiture and industrial/commercial photography, will take you through the basics of how to get a good photo of your product, event or even yourself. In this class you will learn what gives an image impact. We will cover the basics of composition (the building blocks of a good image), what to look for in light, how to photograph products, and how to take a basic headshot. We will explain the pros and cons of different camera systems (including cellphones) and how to get the most out of them.
